While driving to work this morning I spotted a few guys building a stone wall in Squirrel Hill by Frick Park. I did a quick u-turn and nervously approached them to ask if they knew of a mason who could teach me.
The one guy working had to be close to 60 years old and he quietly looked me over without any sound or reaction. I sort of felt like a trespasser. It's a world I know nothing about but there's something so unique about that art. They gave me their bosses number so hopefully I can meet with someone who will have the patience to teach me. To be honest I wanted to sit and watch him work for hours. The wall was gorgeous I wonder if people realize how beautiful it is? I hope so.
